As a mother of two, I know that after the birth of your baby, you only want the best and purest for your child. Now 6 years later I know that this is really not sustainable, but certainly that first period is quite important!

I myself have both my girls lie, sleep and play on a medicinal lambskin. What advantages that had! Especially with the first one the difference was very clear, because at the beginning I did not have the experience with a medicinal lambskin for babies (and actually not really with babies either :-) it was clearly noticeable using a Texel lambskin.

After a few weeks of restless nights, I put a medicinal lambskin in the crib and noticed the result right away! She slept better and was much calmer. Also during playing during the day or lying in the playpen went well, I took the lambskin everywhere with me!

In addition, a lambskin is also a safe surface for your child, due to the short-shorn hairs and medicinal tanning method. By shaving the wool shorter, no long hairs can end up in the mouth, the fur is very comfortable and has a pressure-relieving effect. In addition, the wool is breathable and regulates moisture and heat. The medicinal tanning method is very good for the skin and finally, babies who are raised on a sheepskin or lambskin have a lower risk of asthma later on. All in all, quite a lot of advantages.

All these advantages have made me start making baby products from Texel lamb and sheepskins. At the moment there is for example a footmuff or insert for in the buggy, maxi-cosi or pram and I actually have many more ideas. Hopefully I can write more about that later in this blog.
