Hoe onderhoud ik mijn schapenvacht?

Even buiten luchten en borstelen met onze wokam is meestal voldoende. Een schapenvacht is namelijk vuilafstotend. Bij vlekken kun je voorzichtig met lauw water de plek deppen. Doe een schapenvacht niet in de wasmachine, tenzij het een medicinale schapenvacht is.

Wat is er zo bijzonder aan een Texelse schapenvacht?

De schapen die leven op het eiland bij de Texelse boeren, genieten van de frisse zeewind. Ze worden goed verzorgd en leven buiten in de wei of lekker warm in de stal als het kouder is. Door het bijzondere eilandklimaat, is hun vacht extra vol, zacht en kroezig. Ideaal als warm en natuurlijk woonproduct of om te gebruiken om op te liggen.

Kan ik een schapenvacht ook buiten gebruiken?
