A Texel sheepskin for your dog's bed
Dogs love warmth, softness and a place that is truly theirs. With this Texel sheepskin for your dog, you can give your four-legged friend exactly that.
The skin is a genuine sheepskin from Texel – sturdy, pressure-reducing and wonderfully warm. Because these are B-grade skins, there may be a spot or hole in the skin. This does not detract from the comfort, but it does make the skin extra affordable. Perfect for in the dog bed, on the floor or as a rug: a natural resting place where your dog will immediately feel at ease.
Why a Texel sheepskin is so good for your dog
A genuine sheepskin moulds itself to your dog's body and reduces pressure.
The wool keeps muscles and joints supple thanks to its constant, natural warmth – ideal for older dogs or four-legged friends with joint problems. In addition, wool is naturally dirt-repellent, odour-absorbing and breathable, so the coat stays fresh, even with daily use.
What does B-grade quality mean?
Our B-grade sheepskins come from Texel sheep of the Texelaar breed. Sometimes a skin has a hole, a spot in the wool or discolouration due to the deck block. This makes the skin slightly less suitable for use in the home, but it is perfect for a dog bed and a lot cheaper. By not throwing away these B-grade skins, every skin gets a purpose and you give your dog a sustainable, comfortable and warm place to lie.

From Texel – pure nature
The Texelaar is known for its strong, resilient wool. These skins come from Texel farms and the wool is shaped by the island's climate. This makes the sheepskins sturdy on the underside, soft on the top and nice and thick due to the characteristic Texel wool structure.
Use and maintenance
Simply place the skin in your dog's bed, crate or favourite spot. A quick shake or airing outside is often enough to keep the skin clean. It is best not to use water or soap; wool cleans itself thanks to its natural wool grease (lanolin). If there is dirt in the wool, it is best to brush it out with our wool comb. This wool comb is also suitable for brushing your dog's coat!
A warm place for your dog to lie down – natural and affordable
An inexpensive sheepskin with an imperfection does not necessarily have to be thrown away. These B-grade sheepskins may be slightly less attractive to look at, but they are perfect for use in a dog bed. Give your four-legged friend a comfortable place to lie down, which also provides relief for sensitive muscles or joints.
