Skéépe's wool socks are made exclusively from Texelaar wool
The wool used for these knitted socks comes exclusively from the Texel sheep breed. In addition, the wool also comes from Texel farms. The sheep live outside in the meadow or, if it is a bit colder, among the hay in the stable. Due to the salty sea climate, the sheep get an extra thick and frizzy coat, which in turn is wonderfully warm and soft for your feet! In short, a sustainable and animal-friendly product of the highest quality.
Why the socks are not made of 100% wool but 85%
Skéépe loves wool, so ideally we would like to make the socks only out of 100% wool, which is why the socks are made of 85% wool. Unfortunately, that's not possible. wool is not that stretchy and you wouldn't get the socks over your heel. So to make the sock a bit more stretchy, we mix it with 15% viscose, which also immediately makes the socks a bit more hard-wearing than if they were made purely of wool. This way, you enjoy the benefits of having the highest percentage of wool possible:

This creates the most pleasant warmth there is. Wonderfully warm in winter and cool in summer and never those sweltering sweaty feet, as you can have with synthetic socks. The result is feet at the right temperature that feel nice and dry and fresh.
